"Taking inspiration from the first years of Ikon Gallery's marketing archive, James chose to pull the iconic yellow tone from a poster from the 1960's advertising an exhibition of John Salt's paintings.

The black overlay is a direct nod to the windows of the School of Art & Design at the University of Wolverhampton, which is home to the large printing press that resides in Ikon's first floor galleries for the duration of the exhibition." IKON
